Two years old!!!! She is so big. We had a good time getting the dining room all ready for her birthday cake and presents. This is her new birthday placemat which she's been asking for at dinner.
The one where her foot is on the table - she got a pair of socks as a gift and instantly wanted to try them on. A kid who likes to get socks as a present, now that is amazing.
We are letting Katya open Alexander's presents at the moment. He's too little to object, though it might be hard to get her to stop opening them when he's old enough to do it himself. We have to tell her every time that his new clothes are too tiny - since she always wants to try them on.
A note for later: Do not hold a toddler, drink a cup of tea, and try to show pictures on the camera to the toddler. My camera went into the cup of tea and fried it. At the time the memory card with all the birth pictures was in it and none of them were on the computer yet! I called Dustin crying at 11p.m. and he assured me it was probably fine. Dad said the same thing the next morning. Turns out it was! But there was a lot of crying before I figured out my computer couldn't transfer the photos because the old card reader couldn't read high capacity cards. Thank God! We got them all back.
Here's Katya's last story time with Mom and Dad as an only baby. Pardon the crap*y photo -- Is there any such thing as a good photo taken with the automatic timer?
