Duck clean up

Getting ready for the Luft family visit and tidying up. All the ducks got a good washing.

Climbing baby

A little over a week ago Katerina crawled up Dan and onto his lap while he was on the phone with Lib. She is suddenly sooooo mobile. She can also pull herself up on the side of her crib and seems like she will be able to get up to the cat on the couch any minute. Look at the look of surprize on his face! Neither of us realized she could climb. There are a bunch of these so click on the picture for the whole album.

Kitty cat

Sage's mom gave her a stuffed animal which looks a lot like our Stanzi-cat. Katya laughed herself silly.

With mirror on baby gym May 19th

In bonnet and sweater Sage made (mostly at the end of the pregnancy) and her cute smocked dress.

So excited about cereal

She was so excited about cereal that she jumped as every bite approached her mouth. By the end we had cereal everywhere.

May 9th - she learned to crawl

We went out for coffee with a couple of other moms and their babies. One of them was about Katya's age and already crawling like crazy. I hadn't seen a baby her age before who could move as much as she could but he even pulled himself up on one of my knees and took a couple of steps!

The two of them played on the floor, in green onsies they looked like mirror images. Katya had been trying for weeks and weeks to crawl and was pretty good at going backwards. I looked down and realized she had gone forwards! It was like a light went on, she watched the other baby and said, I can do that.

When we got home we tried it again. Her crawling for the remote is something we'll have to work on though, I should have animated in a good book.

Bathtime has become magical. She can sit up, she can play, and we have light up ducks.

Sitting up on her own.

Katya learned to get up and sit up on her own today! I came into the living room and Dan was on the phone watching her sit next to the living room door. I couldn't figure out how she got up there without him right next to her. A few minutes later she took a toy out of my hand and didn't need to lean on the floor at all.

Peaceable Kingdom

Sage's childhood cat, Stanzi, has come to live with us. As you can see she and Phoebe have got along just fine. They share a common interest, obsession actually. Stanzi will eat anything even things the dog won't.
